Sarlat Market

The Sarlat Market, with its origins in the medieval era, holds a prominent reputation across the region. In the heart of the old town, the market takes place twice a week. On Wednesday mornings, local producers gather to showcase their food items at Place de la Liberte. Meanwhile, on Saturdays, the food vendors return to Place de la Liberte, offering their products until around 1 pm.

Throughout the day, various general traders set up their stalls along Rue de la République, showcasing a wide range of goods. Sarlat and the Dordogne region are renowned for their duck, goose, and walnut offerings, which are readily available at the market. Additionally, visitors can find exquisite and regional gourmet delicacies, such as Rocamadour goat cheese and Bergerac wines.
